Racqueteering
I started coaching in 2004. In 2008 I organized a summer tennis program with Motti-Vational Tennis, taught here in Tehachapi. I worked with Motti Yoshpe that entire summer, teaching tennis to students of all ages. Since then I have continued providing summer clinics and private lessons.
I am certified as a coach with USPTA and a stringer with USRSA and volunteered for a court resurfacing project at Edwards. So I can proudly say, with the exception of pouring a post-tensioned concrete slab, I am a full service tennis professional.
Summer Tennis Programs
The summer tennis programs are taught according to age and skill levels. I teach kids 4-8 using USPTA's Little-Tennis. Little Tennis uses small courts and foam balls. After some basic skills get installed the player is then ready to play some simplified tennis. Little Tennis is the same as QuickStart Tennis, its just different names used by USPTA vs USTA.
If you want to play tennis in high school next year, then you need to start training now as there is no time to fix your game during the tennis season. I can give you technique and confidence, you need to supply the effort. Give me 40 minutes and I will make you a better player... and I'll do that once for free.
If you need tournament training then call my friend Motti Yoshpe. Motti started tennis as a child in Russia, and continued his tennis career in Israel where he played as a professional on the ATP and in Davis Cup. I guarantee Motti will get you to the next level. Motti teaches in Rosamond and Lancaster and can be reached at 866-34-MOTTI (866-346-6884).
